In a new interview with Baylen Leonard for Absolute Radio Country, Lainey Wilson opened up about her songwriting experience with Post Malone for his forthcoming new album, F-1 Trillion. Wilson collaborated with Posty on “Nosedive,” which is featured on the F-1 Trillion tracklist along with his other collabs with fellow country superstars Morgan Wallen, Luke Combs, Dolly Parton, Tim McGraw, Blake Shelton, Chris Stapleton, and Jelly Roll. In the interview, Wilson shares insight into how the initial writing and recording sessions with Post Malone took place.

“The day after the CMA Awards, he called and was like, ‘Hey do you wanna come write?’” Wilson recalls. “So we wrote for like sixteen hours, I think – we wrote through the night. That’s the first writing that I had ever done through the night. I was trying to hang…I was trying to be cool, I was like, ‘Yeah, we’re gonna get through it, we’re gonna get through it.’ We wrote multiple [songs] and it was so much fun, just to see how they work too, you know?…It was an experience that I’d never had, but a lot of fun.” (Holler)
