Elle King says she has changed for the better following her shambolic, drunken performance at a tribute to Dolly Parton at the Grand Ole Opry back in January. During a recent interview with Off the Vine’s Kaitlyn Bristowe, the singer revealed that she entered a therapy program to work on herself following the incident. “After everything that happened in January, I went to a different type of therapeutic program because I was very sad and nobody really knows what I was going through behind closed doors,” King revealed. “I had to heal and deal and go through things. But I feel like I’m a different person.”

Later in the interview, the singer rejected claims she’s a nepo baby because of her comedian father, Rob Schneider, and fashion model mother, London King. “I do work really hard,” Elle shared. “I don’t think I ever really got scooted into the ‘nepo baby’ thing,” because her and her father “weren’t super close” when she originally got signed to a record deal.
