During Monday night’s (October 7) episode of Garth Brooks’ Facebook Live show, Inside Studio G, the 62-year-old country superstar responded to recent rape and sexual assault allegations made against him by his former hair and makeup stylist. It was the first time that Brooks spoke directly to fans about the lawsuit. “A lot’s happened in the last two weeks. Let’s address the elephant in the room, shall we?” Brooks says. “This thing is on. It’s gonna happen. People are telling me it could be up to two years. So, my suggestion is we all take a deep breath, just kinda settle in and let’s hold hands and take a trip together. Because it is something that we cannot talk about. That’s all we can say about it.” During the rest of the video, Brooks focused on his work with Habitat for Humanity, his current Las Vegas residency, and his love for his fans and his wife, Trisha Yearwood.
